Being a Venue Sponsor

The purpose of this web page

This web page has been put together to provide organisations with information to help them decide whether they should become a Venue Sponsor for a Transparency Symposium.

Our Transparency Symposia are typically held in large meeting rooms or training rooms of organisations that align authentically with the overall aims and objectives of the Transparency Task Force.

The room, refreshments and catering are provided free to the Transparency Task Force.

About our Transparency Symposia

Our Transparency Symposia are thought leadership events designed to galvanise support for the idea that there ought to be greater transparency in financial services. They are a great way to define and share best practice and are characterised by engaging presentations, panel sessions and debates.

Venue sponsors are welcome to (but do not have to) provide the following:

  • Input on the ideal date of the Transparency Symposium
  • A speaker
  • A panelist
  • Input to the selection of the main theme for the event
  • Suggestions for other potential speakers and panelists at different organisations

We require:

  •  A room that can take 30 + delegates from 9:00 to 17:00
  •  Projector and screen
  •  Refreshments and catering on the day of the event, such as:
    • Hot and cold soft drinks, plus if possible croissants or similar at registration
    • Sandwich lunch with hot and cold soft drinks, plus if possible fruit/desert
    • Hot and cold soft drinks, plus if possible biscuits or similar at the afternoon break

In addition, the following would be the ‘icing on the cake’ but are not in any way a necessity:

  • A flipchart with pens, if available
  • Lectern or something similar for speakers, if available
  • Audio facilities, if available
  • Free Wi-Fi, if available
  • Post-event drinks such as beers, wine and soft drinks for post-event networking, if possible
  • Support with raising the profile of the event through social media channels and so on, if possible

If any information is wanted beyond what is provided on this web page please get in touch with Alex.

Here’s a list of the remaining dates in 2018 for which we are actively seeking Venue Sponsors:

  • For London: September 11th, 12th or 13th, 18th, 20th
  • For New York: September 11th, 12th or 13th, 18th, 20th
  • For London: October 9th, 10th, 11th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 30th, 31st
  • For London: November 13th, 14th, 15th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th, 29th
  • For London: December 11th, 12th, 13th

Furthermore, we are keen to run events in any major financial centre around the world – please get in touch if you might be able to help

If you would like to read comments about our events from previous participants and attendees click on the link below:

Timings

  •  Our Transparency Symposia normally start with registration/refreshments/networking at 9:00 for a 9:30 start; but we can also start at around 11:00 if that is preferred.
  • Assuming a 9:00 start we typically have a mid-morning break for 30 minutes at 11:00
  • We typically have lunch for about an hour at 13:00
  • We typically have a mid-afternoon break for 30 minutes at 15:00
  • The event typically ends at 17:00

If there is to be post-event drinks and networking, that part typically ends by 18:00 or 19:00 (but post-event drinks is a ‘nice to have’ and not a necessity)

Branding Matters

The logo of the Venue Sponsor is displayed on the event’s web page and prominently on the Sponsors’ slides at the event itself. We can be flexible and are happy to consider any specific branding preferences that you may have.

The Media Matters

The Transparency Task Force has worked hard to develop a healthy relationship with the media and as a consequence we often have journalists from relevant publications attending our Transparency Symposia and writing about it. This is a very important part our awareness-raising strategy.

Revenue Matters

The Transparency Task Force needs to generate revenues to help cover our operating costs so our events are pay-to-attend.

Assuming a one-day conference, the Standard Price Ticket is £245 (or the non-Sterling equivalent for events outside the UK) however we always have places available on a Reduced-Price Ticket basis, whereby individuals that genuinely cannot afford to pay the standard price are able to attend by paying as little as they need to, down to just £1 if genuinely necessary. This approach helps to prevent price being a barrier to participation for those on tight budgets.
