Join us for an insightful event exploring the experiences and challenges faced by Litigants in Person within the civil justice system. We are delighted to welcome Becky Newman from Support Through Court, the award-winning charity that provides practical and emotional support to people navigating court proceedings without legal representation.
Support Through Court helps individuals understand court processes, complete forms, organise documents, and feel more confident before, during, and after hearings. Their volunteers support thousands of people each year across England and Wales, ensuring that no one has to face court alone.
Alongside hearing from Support Through Court, we will also hear from individuals currently navigating the court system as Litigants in Person, who will share their personal experiences, insights, and practical knowledge of representing themselves through legal proceedings.
This event will offer valuable insight into access to justice, the realities faced by self-represented litigants, and the vital role of support services within the legal system.
