There'll be a great line-up of speakers plus ample scope for discussion and debate. Why You Should Attend....
Following developments over the weekend we have decided to run an emergency meeting on Zoom about the statements made by the Financial Conduct Authority on Saturday.
The statements were made by the FCA’s Director of Consumers and Competition Charlotte Clarke during an interview with Broadcaster Paul Lewis on the Saturday edition of BBC Radio 4’s MoneyBox programme.
If you haven’t yet heard that interview it is not to be missed, and for your convenience you can access it by clicking here; you’ll just need to listen to the first 12-13 minutes.
The statements made by the FCA are causing us great concern and leave several questions that need to urgently answered, as follows:
1. Has the FCA made any factually inaccurate statements?
2. Has there been any element of deception?
3. If so, why has this occurred?
By the time the emeregency meeting takes place on Tuesday, TTF will have sent an open letter to the Treasury Committee asking them to look into these concerns. We will be publishing that open letter as soon as possible through various channels including our Twitter/X feed, which is here. If you have not already followed us on Twitter/X please do so as that is the means by which we will be sharing the next open letter.
Here's the programme so far...
