Who Pays the Price? Holding Corporations to Account

When

Tuesday, October 21st 2025, from 6pm - 7:30pm BST

Where

Online via Zoom.

Format

There'll be a great line-up of speakers plus ample scope for discussion and debate.

Why you should attend...

We will be joined by Dominique Muller from the Corporate Justice Coalition (CJC), an organisation working to ensure that companies are held accountable for human rights and environmental harms linked to their operations and supply chains.

Dominique will provide an overview of CJC and its mission and share real-world examples of the negative impacts businesses can have both globally and locally, including human rights abuses and environmental damage, with some reference to the financial sector’s role.

The session will also explain the current legal framework and its limitations for victims seeking redress or holding companies to account. Against this backdrop, Dominique will introduce CJC’s proposal for a Business, Human Rights and Environment Act (BHREA), outlining how such legislation could provide a meaningful solution.

Finally, the discussion will cover next steps in the campaign and explore opportunities for collaboration with organisations and individuals committed to stronger accountability, better protections for people and the environment and a more responsible business culture.
